Appian Fasteners maintain Internationally recognised Quality Management Standard certification by updating to ISO 9001:2015 ahead of the fast approaching Transition deadline.
Belfast and Dublin based, Appian Fasteners, are a leading distributor of industrial fasteners, mechanical components and access hardware and have been in operation for over 50 successful years. The Technical Fastener and Access Hardware Distributor recently updated their ISO 9001:2008 system to meet the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, with the assistance of Quadra Ltd.
Appian Fastener’s successful transition to ISO 9001:2015 will ensure that they remain successful and competitive in a globalised economic environment. The updating of the system involved our dedicated Quality Management Consultant working closely with the Appian Fasteners team to ensure that they met all the requirements of the updated Quality Management Standard.
By maintaining certification, Appian Fastener’s can continue to put their customers first, making sure they consistently meet their needs, enhance their satisfaction and maintain their trust. Furthermore, the organisation is ensuring it is meeting the best practice requirements, and increasing their chances of winning new business with the new ISO 9001:2015.
With the guidance of the Quadra team throughout the transition project, Appian Fastener’s senior management team demonstrated a commitment to, and direct involvement in the organisation’s updated Quality Management System. This will ensure that the QMS is managed and promoted from the top, with objectives and support for continued improvement cascaded through the whole organisation.
In addition to ISO 9001:2015 certification, Appian Fasteners further demonstrate their commitment to customer service and quality by ensuring all of its products are RoHS compliant and do not contain any Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) as specified within the REACH regulation candidate list.
Organisations that are currently ISO 9001:2008 certificated have until September 2018 to transition to ISO 9001:2015, and those who do not transition will no longer be certified. However, although September is the deadline most certification bodies are working towards June 2018, to ensure all non-conformances have been addressed and rectified in time for September.
